The Winning Strategy for Gameweek 32

Patience has run out with Janusaj and Moyes' reluctance to play him for Man Utd. And with Ross Barclay's return to form for Everton it makes sense to bring him in.

Rodriguez and Adebayor are both listed as doubtful, but despite that, they are both in my starting eleven. The sequence of subs, which might be significant, is Shaw, Sissoko and Sidwell.

Baines is captain as Everton are playing Fulham who are unlikely to score.

Real Wrexhamcelery for Gameweek 32

Two transfers this week. I've decided that Fabio Borini is a better bet than Carlton Cole. Scott Parker has been injured and I've decided to replace him with Scott Sinclair, although he seems to be out of favour at WBA.

Sinclair is the odd man out on the bench.

A big choice between Ruddy and Foster in goal given that they are both involved in relegation games. I've gone for Ruddy.

Lukaku takes over as captain from Sturridge as Everton are playing Fulham.

Real Wrexhamcelery in Gameweek 31 not bad and a bit unlucky

84 points against an average of 107 led to a predictable drop from 2,228,275 to 2,233,830.

A good aspect is that 11 players actually played. However, this unusual event meant that the interloper Baines, with his tally of 13 points, remained on the bench preventing the overall total reaching 97. This is especially annoying because the two Coles managed only 41 minutes between them despite West Ham playing 2 games.

The main contributors were Ruddy (clean sheet - again unlucky because Foster scored a point more by saving a penalty), Johnson (assist), Taylor (a rare appearance and an assist), captain Sturridge (2 goals and an assist), Lukaku (2 goals and an assist).

The Winning Strategy in Gameweek 31 - Above average but not good enough

Despite getting 118 points against a weekly average of 107, the overall position deteriorated from 421,840 to 484,019. A disappointing outcome.

The big contributors were Baines (1 goal, 1 clean sheet), Azpilicueta (clean sheet), Zabeleta (2 clean sheets), Lallana (goal), Hazard (goal), Rodriguez (goal), and captain Suarez (3 goals, 2 assists). But the others were not so good. It was unluckly that Adebayor was injured, but the absence of Janusaj from both Man Utd's games suggests his time may be coming to a close.

The Winning Strategy for Gameweek 31

This week is all about maximising the number of players who are playing two games this week.

Firstly the doubtful Walker (doubtful on a number of levels) has been replaced by Glen Johnson of Liverpool.

That means that four players who will play only one game, Azpilicueta, Lallana, Hazard, and Adebayor plus another three on the bench Rodriguez, Shaw and Sidwell.

Suarez is captain.

Real Wrexhamcelery for Gameweek 31

No transfers this week. Putting my faith in Carlton Cole instead of Fabio Borini.

Most of the players are playing two games. The exceptions are Ruddy, Bertrand and Sidwell.

Sturridge is captain.

The Winning Strategy in Gameweek 30 almost average

43 points against an average of 45. 382,375 down to 421,840. Too many big players not delivering.

Main contributions from clean sheets for Szczesney and Zabeleta, a goal and an assist for Suarez and a goal for Rodriguez.

Real Wrexhamcelery in Gameweek 30 not too good

34 points against a weekly average of 45 is not brilliant. 2,210,182 down to 2,228,275.

Main contributions from clean sheet for Johnson, assists for Allen and Sturridge. Challenge for next week is to choose between Carlton Cole and Fabio Borini for the third striker.

The Winning Strategy for Gameweek 30

Following last week's disappointing outcome of Whittingham coming in and not being involved at all for Cardiff, and with one eye on the teams that have two games in week 31, out goes Whittingham and in comes Sissoko of Newcastle.

The bench this week consists of Janusaj (not really getting a sniff for Man Utd and unlikely to make much impact on Liverpool), Sidwell (Fulham struggling generally) and Walker (Arsenal will probably score against Spurs and he is doubtful anyway). That leaves Szcsesney in goal; a back four of Zabeleta, Azpilicueta, Baines and Shaw, a midfield of Sissoko, Hazard, and Lallana, and an attack of Suarez, Rodrigues and Adebayor. Adebayor is doubtful.

Baines is captain.

Real Wrexhamcelery for Gameweek 30

The strictures of the ex-Chelsea and ex-Wrexham limitations of my squad are starting to bite.

In defence, Huth is now out for the season and there is no one to replace him. And for this week, Bertrand is ineligible as Aston Villa are playing his parent club Chelsea. That leaves Johnson, Taylor and the interloper Baines. Taylor is not getting a game for Swansea and so it is the other two who present the only realistic chance for points.

In attack, with Anelka leaving West Brom there are only four candidates, Sturridge, Lukaku, Carlton Cole and Borini. Cole and Borini share the odd man out slot because who would leave out Sturridge or Lukaku except for injury or suspension. Borini is currently out. With no transfers to spare it has to stay that way. Neither is guaranteed to start. Both have two games in week 31 and so a decision will have to be made then.

In midfield, the suspension of Walters is a real blow. Especially as Stoke have 2 games in week 31. He will miss both. He needs to be swapped out. The candidates are Duff (injured), Sinclair (not getting a game), or Joe Cole (not getting a game either). Moses is not available because there are already 3 Liverpool players in the squad (Johnson, Allen and Sturridge). Both West Brom and West Ham have two games in week 31, so that doesn't help. I've gone for Cole. Parker is injured.

In goal Foster gets the nod over Ruddy because he's up against Swansea as opposed to Southampton.

Lukaku is captain.

The Winning Strategy in gameweek 29 A good week

Getting 10 players on the pitch when there were only 5 games means a predictable above average score. 45 points against the average of 29. A leap from 418,436 to 382,375 which is the highest position since week 14.

The one fly in the ointment was the transfer in of Whittingham of Cardiff who is quite high scoring but did not feature at all. He was the 11th man and was a waste of a transfer. He must be out of favour at Cardiff.

The major contributors were Clean Sheets for Azpilicueta and Shaw, and Goals for Hazard and Rodriguez.

Over the next two weeks it is important to maximise the number of players that will be playing 2 games in Gameweek 31. Everyone has one game in Gameweek 30. Candidates for removal are Whittingham (obviously) and Sidwell, last week's recruits.

Real Wrexhamcelery in Gameweek 29 Every bit as bad as expected

Only 4 players contributed points. Walters managed a goal, but was sent off. Captain Mata, Sidwell and Ruddy managed the minimum. As a result 14 points against an average of 29 which in turn means a drop from 2,166,836 to 2,210,182.

But on the upside, the other players now have games in hand and that may mean extra points in future weeks.

Walters sending off means a three game ban so he will be replaced. It is gameweek 31 that needs to be kept in mind because that is when the two games in a week starts.

Real Wrexhamcelery for Gameweek 29

This week could easily be a new low. Even with Mata returning for the injured Duff, the maximum number of players that can take to the field is 6. And 2 of those, Parker and Huth are very unlikely to play which leaves just Ruddy (or Foster), Walters, Sidwell and Mata. I'll go with Ruddy this week as Norwich are plying Stoke while WBA are against Man Utd.

The team will be lucky to get double figures.

The Winning Strategy for Gameweek 29

There are only 5 games this week and in spite of that I have managed to get 11 players on the pitch. This has been achieved by transferring out Noble and Sterling who have been replaced by the highest scoring midfielders I could afford, Sidwell and Whittingham. Sadly I am not confident in those individuals. I hope for little more than two points each so please no yellow cards.

So the line up is Speroni, Azpilicueta, Walker (doubtful), Shaw, Sidwell, Whittingham, Hazard, Janusaj, Lallana (captain), Rodrguez and Adebayor. No subs.

Real Wrexhamcelery Gameweek 28 Good considering

49 points against a weekly average of 46. A climb from 2,211,641to 2,166,836 the highest position since gameweek 16.

Big point scorers were Walters (goal), Lukaku (goal), Johnson (clean sheet) and the interloper Baines (clean sheet and assist). Captain Sturridge was quiet.

For next week, when there are only 5 games, only 5 outfield players are in contention to play, Parker, Sidwell, Duff, Walters and Huth. Last week Duff and Huth were injured. It doesn't look good. Mata can return at the expense of one of the non-playing midfielders. Only 1 transfer is available.

The Winning Strategy Gameweek 28 What a difference a week makes

74 points against a weekly average of 46. A good performance. Primary contributions from captain Suarez (a goal and 2 assists), Hazard (2 assists), Baines (clean sheet and assist), Sterling (goal) and Adebayor (assist).

A steep climb from 502,919 to 418,436 is the result.

Next week will be interesting as there are only 5 games. 6 of the squad are not playing. I have two transfers available. But only Noble looks surplus to requirements. The other changes reauires more thought.
