The Winning Strategy for Game Week 27

Despite the fact that Janusaj and Zabeleta are not playing this week I've decided not to make any transfers. Shaw replaces Zabeleta. Noble stays on the bench.

A couple of enforced changes. Neither Borini nor Mata are playing this weekend. Borini's absence corresponds with the return of Lukaku so that is a no brainier. My choices to replace Mata were Duff, Sinclair and Joe Cole, none of whom are playing much at the moment. I've gone for Duff on a whim.

Real Wrexhamcelery in Gameweek 27 - a strongish performance

62 points against an average of 52 is a good result but it has to be said that 32 points came from captain Sturridge, 12 from an excellent performance from Carlton Cole, that will see him retained when Lukaku returns (Borini will be sacrificed), and 6 from Bertrand who went off before Villa conceded.

A leap from 2,269,431 to 2,211,641 is the result.

The Winning Straegy for Gameweek 27 was a bit of a disaster

A measley 38 points against a weekly average of 52 is just rubbish. Only clear sheets for Azpilicueta and Zabeleta plus assists for Sterling and Suarez lift the gloom. Really not good enough. A plunge from 414,997 to 502,919 is the result.

Real Wrexhamcelery for Gameweek 27

No transfers this week but Lukaku is not far away from returning. One change is Walters dropping to the bench (Stoke are playing Man City) and being replaced by Joe Allen.

Sturridge remains captain.

The Winning Strategy for Gameweek 27

An enforced substitution this week with Ravel Morrison having left the Premiership stage. He was cheap and so his replacement needs to be too. And there is not much choice down at the bottom of the value list. I have opted for Mark Noble of West Ham because a) he's one of the highest points scorers that I could afford, b) he will play and c) he takes penalties.

However he finds himself on the bench along with Janusaj and Shaw. The other outfield players all look to have point scoring opportunites except Baines and who would leave out Baines!

Adebayor is captain as Spurs take on Norwich.

Real Wrexhamcelery Gameweek 26 - not bad

45 points against the average of 39. Up from 2,313,234 to 2,269,431.

Main contribution from captain Sturridge with a goal and 2 assists. Apart from that there was a clean sheet for Bertrand.

Difficult to see how to strengthen the team until Lukaku returns.

The Winning Strategy Gameweek 26 Further Progress

52 points against a weekly average of 39. A climb from 455,328 to 414,997.

All in the right direction. The biggest contributor was the newcomer Adebayor with 2 goals and an assist. There were clean sheets for Szczesny, Walker and Shaw (which was fortunate because he only made the pitch because of the Man City and Everton postponements) and an assist for Lallana.

Captain Suarez is misfiring at the moment. Steps may need to be taken, but not before Morrison is replaced.

The Winning Strategy for Gameweek 26

Finally gave in to temptation and brought Adebayor in to replace the misfiring Negredo. This gave a bit of money and so Sterling comes in for Bentaleb.

Suarez resumes as captain as Liverpool are playing Fulham.

Shaw drops to the bench to make way for Sterling.

Joined on the bench buy Morrison and Janusaj.

Real Wrexhamcelery for Gameweek 26

No transfers.

Sturridge back to captain. Ruddy (playing West Ham) in goal in place of Foster (playing Chelsea).

Parker preferred to Allen.

Real Wrexhamcelery Gameweek 25 Continuing to struggle

37 points against a weekly average of 48. Dropping from 2,266,152 to 2,313,234. deepest depths so far.

Goals from Sturridge and Sidwell and an assist from captain Mata were the only significant scorers.

Deary deary me.

The Winning Strategy Gameweek 25 That's more like it

Excellent week. 87 points against a weekly average of 48. Leaping up the table from 660,583 to 455,328 - the best position since week 14.

It helps of course that one player, Hazard (inspired choice as captain) scored almost the weekly team average himself with 42 points. Other good contributions from clean sheets for Azpilicueta and Zabaleta, and assists from the goal shy Suarez and Lallana. Special mention for Kyle Walker with an assist AND a clean sheet.

On the down side, Negredo is looking unfit and expensive.

The Winning Strategy for Gameweek 25

No transfers, but I was tempted to replace Negredo after his anonymous midweek performance. Is he fit? Even half fit I would expect him to do better against Norwich.

Big decision is who to leave on the bench alongside Morrison and Bentaleb. I really wanted 11 outfield players. The odd one out is Janusaj who drops down in spite of the fact that Man U are playing Fulham. With Mata's arrival, his opportunities will be fewer. That means a 5-2-3 formation with Walker, Baines, Shaw, Azpilicueta and Zabaleta all starting.

Change in captain to Hazard.

Real Wrexhamcelery for Gameweek 25

Out goes Joe Cole who may or may not be fit but is unlikely to play 90 minutes. In comes Joe Allen who has more chance and certainly more than Victor Moses.

Sticking with Sturridge, Borini and Carlton Cole up front especially as Andy Carroll is suspended for West Ham.

Mata remains captain.

Foster replaces Ruddy in goal (opponents are Palace rather than Man City).

Parker remains on the bench alongside Huth and the interloper Baines.

The Winning Strategy Gameweek 24 Still not good enough

51 points against an average of 45 lifts the team from 689,842 to 660,583. But it's still disappointing.

Major contributions from Szczesny (clean sheet), Shaw (clean sheet), Azpilicueta (clean sheet), captain Suarez (assist), Lallana (goal), Rodriguez (goal) but the other 5...

Not looking to change anything before next week.

Real Wrexhamcelery Gameweek 24 one point above average

46 points against an average of 45. Major contributions from captain Mata (assist), Sturridge (goal), Borini (goal and assist).

Moved up from 2,270,561 to 2,266,152 overall.

Probable transfer activity will involve Joe Cole. With Andy Carroll suspended, Carlton Cole will play. Joe Cole isn't playing so will be replaced by Allen, Moses, Duff or Sinclair. An embarrassment of riches.
